Major Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Electricity Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused blackouts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were hurt while inhabitants in the city's east were plunged into darkness and dealt with problems to drinking water, per reports from city officials.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a different aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southern area, as reported by local officials.

Russian forces has increased assaults on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has demanded "real steps" from allies to exert influence on Moscow.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, European nations and the major economies - in delivering protection systems and enforcing restrictions," mentioned in a public message.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and several dozen projectiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Russia was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were striving to repair systems.

A wave of strikes damaged electrical systems and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Multiple people injured in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the city endured intense attacks during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child lost their life and multiple civilians were wounded.

The assaults follow periods of bombing campaigns in the area, parts of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The whole nation is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to identify.

Authorities told journalists that Moscow was purposely seeking to damage the country's energy grid, with strikes already disrupting gas facilities.

Officials stated technical personnel and government agencies were anticipating more assaults.
