Kane marks his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is prepared to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is currently midway through the four-year contract he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has accumulated an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, helping them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the maiden significant trophy of his notable career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he earlier was, and would certainly consider extending his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had avoided him until he won the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would react after overcoming his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
